Perched on a steep cliff, this sprawling home overlooks the Pacific, with picturesque Honeymoon Cove glistening below. The isolated property is situated within adjacent open parkland that is covered with coastal sage native plants.

 

This project, with its many facets, required rigorous coordination with the architect, interior designer, pool builder, and other construction professionals. A well-respected arborist was also engaged to preserve the huge specimen trees. All exterior areas, including patios and walkways, were renovated and resurfaced.

Custom Spanish Revival tiles, limestone slabs, Italian clay, and cobblestone paving were installed throughout. The plantings were specifically selected to adapt to the harsh and intense coastal cliff conditions and to grow symbiotically under the existing mature trees. The renovation created a harmonious blend of natural beauty and refined design, perfectly suited to its dramatic coastal setting.
